Zojirushi

Zojirushi Corporation, established in 1961 (originally Kyowa Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in 1948), is a global leader in kitchen appliances and consumer products. Based in Osaka, Japan, the name “Zojirushi” comes from the Japanese word “zō” (elephant), symbolizing care, strength, and the warmth of home. Since its beginnings in 1918 as Ichikawa Brothers Trading Company, Zojirushi has been perfecting the art of keeping food and drinks hot or cold, manufacturing and selling items such as vacuum bottles, travel mugs, food jars, electric water boilers, rice cookers, and bread makers. Zojirushi celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2018 and has a global presence with offices and subsidiaries around the world, including the USA, Thailand, and China.
