Plantronics, founded in 1961, is a U.S.-based company, now a subsidiary of HP Inc., headquartered in Santa Cruz, California. It specializes in enterprise and consumer audio products, software, and services, supporting unified communications, mobile use, gaming, and music. The company originated by developing lightweight headsets for aircraft and gained early recognition through its partnership with NASA for the Apollo missions, and its products are still used by the FAA today.
