Oster

Oster is a brand with a history tracing back to two distinct companies. The John Oster Manufacturing Company, founded in 1924 by John Oster, initially produced manually powered hair clippers and later became known for blenders, adopting the “Osterizer” brand name. This company was acquired by Sunbeam in 1960. Separately, The Oster Manufacturing Company, founded in 1893 by Herman W. Oster, focused on industrial threading machines and achieved several industry firsts before being sold and eventually acquired by Superior Threading Inc. in 1997. Today, the consumer appliance brand Oster is a Sunbeam product.
